Art in technicolor with Yashasvi Mathis

Contemporary Indian visual artist Yashasvi Mathis is a self-taught artist whose unconventional art work flits between simple sketches, painting and digital media. Yashasvi Mathis is an illustrator and print designer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Knitwear Design from NIFT in Mumbai. She is currently exploring set design and working on her fashion illustration skills. Across her work there is a deep tension in the slightly contorted figures she depicts : her colorful work navigates between reality and fiction. Depending on the elasticity of our imagination, the layers in her work can take us far away. Yashasvi Mathis’ personal artworks are often led by a female protagonist and an audacious use of colors. Having studied Graphic Design & Interactive media design at the CFPAA in Geneva, Samuel’s passion for photography became an area where he could find beauty in even the coldest environments. Samuel Zeller is a young and talented self taught photographer, visual designer and 3D artist based in Geneva, Switzerland. Before moving into photography Samuel worked in various design agencies creating retail spaces, editorial design and 3D visualisations for international brands. Samuel Zeller uses photography as a means of expressing emotion, a less constrained language of communication. 1. Do you see yourself as a Figure of Photography ? Samuel Zeller : No, not at all. I’m still learning a lot every day, I’ve got a long road ahead. And I think I wouldn’t want to be a “figure” because I don’t like this word, I prefer to say that I can inspire a few people, but I want to stay humble. Fashion Sculpture with Georgia Hardinge

Born in London, Georgia Hardinge shows a truely international background and a one-of-a-kind fascination for fashion design.  Georgia launched her London-based label in 2010 and begun to build her identity as a sculptural designer. Indeed, her inspiration comes from architectural shapes. Even if her collections do reveal a marked -and sometimes experimental- sculptural style, Georgia produces flattering yet very wearable pieces. Training at Parsons School of Art and design in Paris, Georgia won acclaim by receiving the best designer award for her graduate collection. Few years later, Georgia’s Autumn Winter 2011 won the “Merit Award’” with her first stand-alone runway show at Fashion Scout. Since then she has continued to shine with celebrated collaborations including bespoke outfits for the Victoria Secret fashion show with sponsorship from Swarovski, and designing a limited edition Lancôme bottle exclusively sold in Selfridges. The label has seen its second successful collaboration with the high street: Georgia Hardinge for River Island. Photographs of botanical gardens that look like oil paintings by Samuel Zeller

In his series Botanical, Swiss photographer and designer Samuel Zeller presents a modern photographic take on classical botanical illustrations produced between the 18th century and early 20th century. Reflecting the heritage of an architectural period and the years of botanical research, Zeller’s series combines these two fascinating subjects into one. Before moving into photography Samuel studied Graphic Design & Interactive Media Design at the CFPAA in Geneva. He has also worked in various design agencies creating retail spaces, editorial design and 3D visualisations for international brands. Zeller uses photography as a means of expressing emotion, a less constrained language of communication. Botanical pays homage to an architectural period, while celebrating botanical research through a collection of beautiful photographs, as a tribute to hand drawn illustrations of the past, opting for a modern digital photography technique to inspire this antique feeling.
